The housefly is the most common species originated on the steppes of central Asia. They can transport disease-causing organisms to human habitations which could cause public health problem.
The housefly has a complete metamorphosis with distinct egg, larval or maggot, pupal and adult stages. Warm weather conditions are generally optimum for the development of the house fly, and it can complete its life cycle in as little as seven to ten days.
These houseflies are most commonly linked to outbreaks of diarrhoea and shigellosis, but also are implicated in transmission of food poisoning, typhoid fever, dysentery, tuberculosis, anthrax, ophthalmic, and parasitic worms.
Treatments
- Our Pest Management Team will do a Detailed inspections within the premises compound to identify any potential breeding ground.
- Treatment will be carried out along the perimeters of the premises by residual spray or baiting in order to control any potential infestations.
- For major infestation, Motor-Misting treatment will be administered for a flush-out effect. Premises must be vacated for the next 3 hours.
